Interior fuse/electrical issue

Okay so I reacently bought an evo with a bad engine. Got it home and pulled the engine and thats at the machine shop getting looked at. The car has been sitting for a couple years since the previous owner didnt want to fix it. I put in a new battery and was gonna put the windows down to air out the car while I work on other things. So the only things that work is the head lights and keyless entry. I can't get the windows to roll down.

My question is, without the engine and all the grounds for the engine hooked up. Will the radio, windows, gauge cluster lights, power mirrors and other accessories still work? I've looked at the fuses and non look to be blown.

Take a look at ETACS, if car has been sitting a couple years as your said ... near moisture ... so ETACS connections became rusty, you need to clean this up. And also check main fuse box under the hood ...

I've looked at the fuse box connections on the interior. I didn't see any corrosion.

Been looking a little more and still have yet to find any solutions to my issue. I'm gonna use my buddies power probe to get a little more in depth with it. Anyone have any other ideas?

You cant see corrosion while not taking this apart ... Corrosion is between electrical contacts, inside this module ....

I unplugged the connectors, I didn't look behind the back ones yet though. I will look after work tonight and see if I can find something.

Looked in and behind the interior plugs that usually get damaged by water, they all seemed to look great. I'm kinda lost at the moment as wiring isn't really my thing. Again could this be that there is no engine or trans in the engine bay?

Little update. I'm using a buddies power probe and when I supply power to the interior fuses everything powers on. Is there a main relay that might be bad not allowing power to access many of the accessories inside the car?

try finding a common ground for components you're trying to use.

Only thing that's changed with the car is I pulled out the engine and trans. Could that even cause any of those issues, cause I swear I've never had issues like this on any of my other evo's when I pulled the engine. Previous owner of the car said he never had a issue and that was when the cars engine was still in

Could the etac be stopping the power from going to the interior fuse box?
