IX MR w/factory HID - easy way to disable "auto headlight leveling"?
I'm looking for an easy (preferably reversable) way to disable the "auto leveling"feature of the factory IX MR HID headlamps.
I could not find a fuse that could be pulled but something like this would be great.
I know I could disconnect the 3 wire connector that feeds power to the motor but then I have to deal with sealing the connector from water.
Anyone know of an elegant solution to make this work?

Long story short, I think the adjuster to shaft connection is stripped because my worm-gear cable was bound up and prevented the whole assembly from turning together.
I really don't see a need for the auto adjusters as I want to aim the lights the way I want to myself.
Just want to disable the system

You can just remove the cable-drives you're talking about. I did on mine so that I can adjust the low-beams at any time. I also don't care if the high beams adjust with the low beams or not. I just set the high beams where I want them and don't touch them
The auto-adjusters keep the left and right headlights at the same level and will auto-adjust (hence the name) if they are different

Cables area already removed. It bound so bad that the plastic adjuster on the low beam actually stripped a little bit on the shaft of which it seats (even with the cable totally removed)
So, even with no cable and a 5mm socket directly on the lowbeam adjuster it still only spun the adjuster without spinning the shaft that moves the projector. The inside of my adjuster is worn a little bit.
If the motors move the "drive shaft" and the 5mm knob is bound up it will tear up where they seat into the adjuster.
