Idle control valve and fan working with ignition off.
Idle control valve and fan working with ignition off.
Hi guys, I am new on this forum and wanted to get your thoughts. I have recently purchased an evo 8. After owning it for about a week I find that the idle has now gone up to about 2000 rpms and hunts to 2500. I have tried changing the idle control valve and no change. The only way to get the idling back down is to actually modify the idle map which was actually idling correctly before. Also I find that with the car off the idle control valve makes a loud clicking noise and the fan also comes on randomly even if the car is cold. I am open to any suggestions. I have tried looking at the earth connections. Any of you had this issue? Thanks in advance.
