hello, I'm going a conversion adding a 4G63t Evo 4 engine to a Lancer ck2a, most of the mountings, and lugs are plug and play, i.e fits perfect. however i can turn on the ignition, air con unit, etc but cannot start. also the wipers don't work.
can someone give me instructions where to start from? i have tested the connectors of the ECU but none of them give any power at all?
Thats a huge question with very little information to go off of. You gotta give as many details as you possibly can about the swap, the donor car, the modified lancer as possible to even have a hope of getting real help.
ok so i bought this engine from a part shop, it was a complete Evo 4 motor with manual gearbox, loom and ECU.
i had my mechanic, replace the Bearings, got in ACL's got the crankshaft polished. so was advised the engine was good to go.

the car I'm putting the engine in is a Lancer Ck2a 1.5 litre carburettor. i had the mechanic remove the 4G15 engine and replace it with the EVO 4 4G63t.
mechanically, the swap was bolt on, just went straight through. had to replace the CV though etc.

Electrical issues were when i had the EVO 4 loom connected to the Dashboard, about 4 lugs got connected and about 4 lugs are stray. this stray lugs were from the EVO 4 loom which came from the engine. i have a picture included maybe it might give you some idea why there is no power coming to the ECU. its unable to crank nor wipers basically any ECU functions are not functioning.
well start with the basics, make sure the ecu is getting 12v constant, switched, and ground. Make sure that all the grounds are grounded too as there may be a few.
i have the pinout of the ECU, surprise to see theres no voltage coming in the ECU, some pins gave 0.8 volts some gave 0.1v
You will probably have to fab up your own harnesses a few things considering the car was running a carb before. But for sure nothing is gonna work until you get power to the ecu.
