New Evo 9 Key
Just got a key cut by a locksmith for my Evo 9. Dude said he couldn’t program the Key because Evo doesn’t show on his machines. He tried like 3 machines. Called his co worker to try his machines and leaves. After he left I tried the key and the car turns on without programming the key. WTF I thought evos had chipped keys and immobilizers? I bought the car two weeks ago. If I use the key is it gonna turn off on me mid drive haha.
That's probably why. Next time you need a key, go to any hardware store and have them match it with a blank. Super cheap. Not sure if you need the original hex code, if you were wanting to reactivate it, though.
