HI All,
Just about to buy my first Evo, it is a 9 MR with 70k miles. The owner says it is stock except for a rewire of the harness due to some problems 1000 miles ago. didn't specify yet what. he said it was common with 9 mr's. Any advice on this would be really appreciated. is this a common problem or something of a red flag i should ask much more about and if so what to ask??

Hey Adam, What problems did he specify exactly? Rewiring of the main harness is not common and you should ask more about it. Has the vehicle sustained any water damage?

 

No it's not common. The only harness issues are in the cabin by the main fuse panel. depending on if the door rubber seals were modified the interior harness can have water run into it and corrode

engine bay harness issues common? not a chance.
