Hi!

I was adding new gauges to my EVO and I found strange black box that doesn't seam to be originally installed on my evo. There are no numbers or inscriptions on it... Does anyone know what it could be?

 

Hard to say, knowing what its tapped into would be helpful. Could be anti-theft, breathalyzer, turbo timer, etc..

 

That rectangular box on the circuit board is a relay (ET2-B3M1S) that typically controls an electric motor. Wonder if its for intermittent wipers/ But yeah, finding out where that harness runs to would be a big key as to what its controlling

There is also a piezo buzzer on the board that is intended to sound off when activated

 

Do you have/used to have a turbo timer? It looks the exact same as my hks and I even had a piece of double sided tape like that that peeled..now its just hanging.

 

Looks very similar to add on aftermarket turbo timer design.

 

Mystery solved. I think youre right. There is a beep noification on these timers & that explains the piezo buzzer
