Thanks for the reply... and yeah, probably have to retro fit it into my interior... Do you happen to know any sources to get it? I've check google for salvaged or new ones, maybe I am not entering the right search criteria? All I need is the dash trim, but I got nothing...

Best bet is to search russia / UK area for salvage cars

allan96817 Jan 26, 2014 07:57 PM

thanks... I actually found a guy here that sells a brand new one... but the post was back in 2008...

Yea, basically the most important part you need is the center section; the actual dash trim would be optional as that can be custom molded. you might try and find a friend in russia who can help you source parts from there :)

Thanks, but I don't know anyone in Russia, LOL.

I'll try my best.

you do know that those AC / Heater controls wont work in a US car, correct? They're all electronic and ours are cable-driven

I'm still working on my conversion, haven't had a second car for a long time now so that i can leave the evo in pieces

The pictures are from a RHD car. Look at the gauges needles. Also on the first post the enbroided "mitsubishi" on the floor mat is inverted.

On my first post, the picture was inverted by myself in PS, because that's exactly how I wanted to look~ Sorry if I misled anyone...

However, the 2nd picture is from another source and not edited by me. So I can't say that the 2nd one is also edited from a RHD interior.

Yes, I understood, but retro-fitting a center console piece vs. retro-fitting the entire dash, doing the center console should be more simple I guess? I currently have the Orbital Kit with the HVAC relocation kit from some guy on this Forum, so all of my cables to control the A/C are already rerouted.

This is not a big deal, but it'll be nice for that extra 2-din opening~ That's ultimately my goal. Hope you guys can be on the look out for me, thanks~

that's a built-in mitsubishi unit, not a normal double din mount. you can always fab up mounts for a double din up there i suppose though

Exactly... the MMCS is definitely not a regular 2-DIN mount. Still looking... :crap:

Hi! Everyone!
I want up this topic and say: "Yes! It is possible!"
I have succesfuly done with this on my MMC Lancer 9.

First of all I want to say that there are two ways to get this done. First - rebuild the RHD panel from Japanese Lancer, the second - find the original LHD panel from Mitsubishi Virage.
I did this in the first way. Also I have installed the automacit climat control (but this is the other story :))
That's how it looks for me:

https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.evo...08653324fc.jpg

I did this few years ago. Because I was not able to find the original LHD panel. But now I have few original LHD panels! And going to sell them on the eBay.
So if someone still interested in this panels, here is my listing:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/OEM-MItsubi...m/162827194505

Also feel free to ask me any question. I'm done with hard work of investigation the MMC Lancer models for the different countries and now I'm a real guru of this panels :)
