Question lower boost with intake kit?

I just installed the AEM intake, and after many hours to get things right, it sounds great. The thing I noticed was a slight drop in boost. We're not talking much, but a slight amount. I was peaking about 1.21 bar, now I'm peaking about 1.18 bar...but it was (and is) doing it repeatedly. Any input? Thanks in advance.

If anybody does have a link (just did a search and found one thing of minor interest, and not great technical detail) that explains in a bit more technical detail what's going on to cause this, I'd like to know. I'm guessing it's something to do with the MAF (which I have a fairly poor understanding of as most cars I have worked on have not had MAFs). Again, thanks for your patience with a previously discussed topic as well as any links to more info.
