MR bov

Just installed MR bov. I was not holding boost with the stock so I got a Greddy one and it held good, but had a problem with surging. Just installed the MR and it works good. SOund is the same as stock, but it holds boost much better and throttle response is much better as well. Overall great buy for 120 shipped.

Thanks for the info I have been thinking about buying one and good reviews like this help me with my decision. No surging and holding more boost is a big plus and I think money well spent.

Just ordered mine also. My stock holds, but can't go wrong with this one.

I did not feel any difference...when the engine is on boost the DV gets pressurized on top through the line that come from the manifold. This line supplies both Vacuum and Boost to the top of the DV. When on boost it holds the piston(valve) shut against the same boost pressure that the IC pipe has. The net effect is that they cancel each other and the spring excerts that extra pressure to hold the valve shut. Unless the valve seat gets distorted or does not seal, it will NOT leak. I don't understand when people say it will not hold more than 20 psi, unless tested with no pressure being appled to the top yes they will leak. But that is not how the valves work.

It causes a little sputter, but no actual stalls. The closest it comes is when I roll to a stop with the A/C on. It dips to about 500 rpm, but then pulls back up to 850.

It really does hold boost much better. I had to turn my boost controller down a little because of the change.

Agree 100%.

And yes it hold boost past 20psi perfect. I had my profec dialed in at 22psi in 5th gear tonight and it held 1.51 to 1.52 bar. This is a really good bov.

I think overall, its a good buy. Its definitely a nicer piece than our plastic D/V..

You will get crisper throttle response, and maybe a little better spool. I do get compressor surge every now and then if I nail it through a light and let up immediately. As far as stalling, I have'nt even come close once, ad I have tried.
