We dynoed my evo 3 last week and on 23 psi and c16, it was making 500 hp @4 wheels(on a dyno dynamics dyno).So we decided to up the boost to 27-28 and on the first run it made 544 and on the second run the gear box decided to go bang.
It sheared all of 4th gear .
We then put in a spare box and started off again on 27 psi it made 541 so we upped the boost to 30 and it made 563 and then on the second run
the gearbox let go again!!!!! .
Looks like I am going to get a dog gear set made

 

Also put in direct port nitros injection while you're at it. The hp at the wheels will be insane and the whole damn thing might go "boom"

 

We were planning to run 38 psi and a 100 shot and hoping for 700whp.Looks like I will have to wait a few weeks.

 

Your crazy thas all I have to say hope you got deep pockets for replacing the engine a few times

This is a whole new setup to my previous one which lasted 2 years and over 100 10 sec passes.
