For some reason I thought I had read that Buschur was going to support trade-ups. Maybe they'll help you out.

You probably know this already but the BR440 is a great little turbo, especially when properly tuned.

I called Jarod at Buschur and wanted to upgrade my BR580 to ballbearig and they said they could not do it only if you are purchasing a new unit.

Is your exhaust manifold ceramic coated or the like (aka "jet hot" thermal coatings). Is your downpipe similarly coated? Is the exhaust side of your 440 coated? I'd do these three things first and then reevaluate your options...
