Exedy Twin Plate Problem

Has anybody experience problems with the Exedy Twin Plate throwing the clip that hold the TO Bearing, this has ocurred me 2 times and on other evos here as well. If so, how did you fix it.

call exxdy and they will send you one the same problem occured to my own car but mine happend after a week of driving i was at the track when this happend. i installed the new retainer clip that they sent me and havent had a problem since.

This has happened to a number of well known Evo owners who used Exedy twin disc clutches. Some were repeated often enough that they went to an ATS conversion that changed it to a "push" style clutch again.... Without doing that, the "fix" was to use a new retainer clip provided Exedy and three wave springs.

At the other end of the spectrum, when the retainer clip stays on, many people have problems removing it when they do a clutch job, and have to remove the pressure plate bolts along with the TOB in order to get the transmission off...
