HKS EVC Question

I installed one on my car today, seems to work properly when turned on, but my question is...

When the EVC is turned off, should I still make stock boost?

What happens now, is that (when the EVC is on) the car makes whatever boost I set it at and tapers off gradually just like it did stock. But when the EVC is turned off I can only make 10 pounds of boost. Don't get me wrong, I think this would be a great valet or road trip / gas mileage mode, but I want to be sure it is working properly. Any help would be appreciated.

That is correct. When the EVC is off, you go back down to the default wastegate tension, which is 10-11psi. (Stock is 19psi) I dont think it will make that much of a difference in gas mileage. It still feels the same at low rpms, but it doesn't pull at the higher end.

Awesome, thanks for the info. much appreciated.

The mileage would have been a bonus, not a biggie. I just noticed that when I cruise below 75 mph I get great mileage, but at 80+ it sux bigtime, which is right where the car starts making good boost in 5th gear. Oh well, I am just happy I didn't botch the install.
