aem intake question- important

well, i bought an AEM short ram intake from www.lancershop.com and the transaction went very good and everything went as planned. SO i get the intake in the mail, install it and realize that I have the infamous stalling problem (which i didn't do proper research, and found out about this after buying it).

Anyways, I was real pissed off that the intake would be so incorrectly designed as to let the car stall on you. I took out the intake, and put the stock one back in and everything is running fine again. However, I have a 200 dollar intake in my garage and nothing to do with it.

My point is, can I call AEM and get a refund on this product. Cause technically, it isn't designed correctly and causes the car to have problems. Would I have any hope of getting my money back from AEM, has anyone had experience doing this?
ANd if not, if anyone is interested in buying this intake from me, i'll sell it for pretty cheap. Thanks in advance.

AEM Intake stalling?

Was it the AEM intake that actually caused stalling? I had an AEM short ram intake that had no stalling problems after I replaced my GReddy Type-S BOV with the factory BOV (this is before I learned about the spring mod and that I should have the BOV VTA). Thus, the cause of my stalling was an improperly set up BOV.

I mean, a lot of people are having the problem, theres a huge thread on this board about the intake causing the stalling. But yeah, i'm pretty sure it was the intake cause i have stock everything else, it only happand when i would inch up and press brake and clutch. then it would just drop (rpms) thanks

I have the AEM intake with no problems. The only problem I heard with the intake is that it will lean you out a little. The intake won't really get you any gains without other mods so I would leave it off till you get some other mods. Save it though and put it on later.
