taking evo into dealership tomorrow to get bov tuned

ok heres the story....i got my greddy type s bov and installed it on friday at the mitsu dealership. They put it on for me put then my car is stalling and the bov is fluttering. Im going to take it back in on monday to get it fixed After seaching the forums, i learned that you need to perform a single spring mod to get rid of the stalling. However, i dont know how to get rid of the fluttering. My questions are....
1) how do you adjust the bov to stop the fluttering and get that "sharp sound"?
2)where is the vacum hose connect to? the part sticking out on the side... or the part on the purple top?

* im pretty new with BOV and i want to make sure this is done right. Also im going to be telling the dealership how the adjustments should be made. Thanks for the help

Here ya go.

http://www.evomoto.com/product_info....th=1&tech_id=7

Whoops, spoke to soon, link no longer there.

The gist is once you take out the small spring from the Greddy Type-S (by removing the hex screws) you will no longer experience the idle surge and you will not need to connect anything to the small nipple on the Greddy unit.

Put in a stiffer spring and it should hold enough boost. The third nipple is optional and will get the type-s to work to its highest potential. Mine works great, holding 21 psi.

hey equi42, sorry but your wrong the greddy type-s already has a stiff spring thats the reason it flutters and stalls on an evo. Oh, and there is no third nipple , theres only two, the oneon the purple top is the vacuum line , the second one is a vent tube leave that one open.

Before I did this it would not hold more than 12 psi of boost. If you read the evomotorsports.com website it even says that it needs a stiffer spring to hold more boost.

You can also adjust the valve by tightening the screw with an allen wrench on the front of the valve. The fluttering is from compression surge (which is not good. If you want to hold more boost tighten the screw, if you have too much surge then loosen it.

This is from my experience.

I used one spring, two springs, small spring and large spring. I turned the adjustment screw to the right and to the left. No matter what I did it would surge and or flutter. In the end I sold it and went with the evo MR bov. Now I'm happy
