Oil Pump Failure

I recently had an oil pump failure due to what I believe was the front balance shaft. Basically what happened was the oil pump timing belt shaft moved so much that it chewed up the oil pump case housing walls when I experienced wheel hop while taking off (also broke my tranny). I believe it was due to the front balance shaft moving in ways that are un-usual. So here is my warning to evo owners who drag race. Beware of wheel hop as it might kill your oil pump/engine. I later replaced it and removed the balance shafts.
