calling all people with hks racing air intake system

just had a quick question about the hks racing air intake system. if my evo is stock with an exhaust and i added this intake,will i have stalling and idle problems? thanks for the info

u may have a boost leak. Make sure you put everything back together right.

You could also get a boost leak from about 200 other possibilities. Isn't it common sense that if you don't install ANY part right that you may have adverse effects? I don't think that was the question.

My point being that if he didnt get the couplings on right or something he could be losing pressure causing his stall. I am well aware a boost leak can come from a ton of places. I dont think your post answered his question.

No the only stalling probs you will have is from an HKS SSQ BOV without the EDIS!

I have the HKS RS and SSQV with no problems whatsoever. I dont have the EIDS either.

You can run the intake w/o problems, but it really needs to be tuned to get the max benefit out of it. Also, I have learned that it may make you car run on the lean side in the midrange if left untuned.

Also, the RS intake has poor filtration of dirt and particles compared to other types of filters. It's very pourous and allows more crap through it. But the benefit is more air and more power, upwards of 13 WHP when tuned.

I'm in seattle buddy, I told you I wouldnt be back till the 15th. Whatever I dont have a BUSINESS in mod'ing tail lights I eat just fine with out it.
