Why does my Helix TB only rattle in the rain?

How is it physically possible that my Helix turboback only rattles when it's raining out? Hot days, cold days, warm days, it doesn't matter, as long as it's not raining the exhaust doesn't make a peep. But as soon as it rains out it starts to rattle against the subframe.

Can anyone explain this?

Thanks!

Just a guess, but when it rains are you running AC with the defroster? increased idle speed & load of the AC compressor could increase the vibration enough to make the DP contact the subframe

When it's cold my Helix turbo back makes a slight creeking sound then goes away once the car warms up. The sound comes from the cat-delete back I have never been able to locate where the sound is coming from.

My 02.

Good luck.

I thought it was the AC thing too, but I put the vents onto non-defrost (just feet), and it still rattled, even after a while...

the AC would have been my guess too..but it looks like its just the exhaust itself. I would contact company as this isnt really cool, well prob nerve racking actually

I've had many aftermarket turbo backs and it always normally does weird things when cold or weather changes. Stock exhaust is always better because it wasn't overnight engineered but doesn't put out the power. Manufactures have to stay legal.
