Highest WHP/trap MPH for pump+stock cams

Just wondering what's been accomplished with the stock cams and pump gas. Please post numbers and mods.

Ill give you a number here soon. I ran a pathetic 14 @ 105 with a slipping stock clutch. I now have a tripple disk and should expect anything from a mid 11 to a mid 12 depending on my launch. Of course this is with an AMS gt35r kit. Still stock cams though I'm guessing without the turbo kit with my current setup being intercooler, E/I, AF and boost control I could get a mid to high 12 with a good launch. Problem is my next run will be with my kit installed so I guess I'll post those numbers which will be on pump gas and stock cams.

fre, just curious why you are sticking with stock cams and a huge turbo?

DSMotorsport, very impressive. How much boost and what AFR were you running for the 113.2 mph pass?

about 11.8 to 12.0 and boost spiking to 24 setting down to 21 by 7000rpm. the boost spike goes right down to 22 prettymuch immidiatly. so Id say average boost pressure of 22-21.

Are you using 93 octane?

For one there are no 272s available. For two, I would rather have more drivability. I will see how much power I get with just stockers. I am only using an afc to tune as well. That wastegate is soooo damn loud. I need to reroute that dumppipe into the exhaust instead of the atmosphere heh. At first I thought it was just the exhaust, but now I know the truth. I'm only running 14 psi while I break the turbo in. I'll have dyno numbers in a week or so. Until then I'll just have to tune with my wideband. Also my electronic boost controller is strange I set it for ~.9 bar and I get 1.35 bar of boost. Must be the external wastegate. I know it reads right because I turn it off and I get 14psi or .9 bar which is what the wastegate pressure should be.

Edit--
I figured out the boost problem... stupid me just needed to set the duty cycle properly. Now the car runs waaaaay too rich beyond 5k rpm. Like 10.2:1. I am removing 20% on my afc too so it's time for a fuel pressure regulator. It runs nice and hard until it gets to 5k so between 4 and 5k it's nice then falls on its face due to rich gayness heh

sunoco 93 octane. I have filled with 94 and not noticed anything different in knock sensor activity. 93 and 94 seem to react the same.

I just slapped the BR440 turbo on our shop car and picked up about 30hp from 5000rpm up to 7500 same tank of 93 octane same 22-21psi boost. That should be an easy 3mph at the track especially considering that 4th gear is being run to 7500rpm with the stock turbo @115mph where the hp is REALLY dropping off. The BR440 makes good 300+hp even at 7800rpm.

Update. Ran a 13.6 @ 106 with crappy AF above 5k and with a 2.26 60 foot. If I could launch it right I would of had around a 12.8 @ 108 or so. Car needs to be tuned. I started to tune it a bit and I can feel the difference already from 10.3:1 AF now it runs closer to 11:1. Oh this is on pump gas.

I think I could run 3 mph + faster since I got my clutch in.

I'll be in 12's next time I go to the track. Hoping for 12.9 or faster.

Im in Montgomery right now btw so your not too far away heh. Once this thing is tuned I am shooting for mid-low 12s @ 115-120 on pump gas with a decent launch (1.9 or better)
