Problem/wierd

Okay I recently had a hks hi power exhaust installed about a week ago (only mod to the car) and now as of last night when im flooring my gas pedal at around and the techometer reaches 3k - 4k rpms the techometer instead of steadily going up it jumps up about 500rpms and then goes back down 500rpms, its like the turbo is getting a short little extra boost or something. I don't know if the exhaust has anything to do with this. Anyone know whats up?

when the rpm raises, does your car move forward along with the rpm? or does it just rev the catch again?
if the car doesn't move forward when the rpm raises, your clutch is slipping.
