Looking for IC coupler

Hey guys. After troubleshooting a bad boost leak I found a split in the blue 2" to 1.5" rubber hose coupler for my Greddy FMIC. Without thinking I got your standard black ghetto one from the hardware store and it promptly blew loose under boost (366hp23psi). Is the blue Greddy one better at resisting heat? Or did I just not torque the ghetto coupler hard enough? Where can I get a strong coupler? I emailed Greddy for a direct replacement and am awaiting word. Curious if anyone has ever changed one of these. Thanks.

you need silicone couplings that can hold up to the heat and pressure. and have some flexability

we carry the complete line of turbonetics brand silicone in 3 colors.

The greddy coupling is not silicone but some form of plastic/rubber, hence why it crapped out already. Its also probobly larger ID than 1.5" ususally the greddy pipes are 2" or 2.25" ID. check it. you can't go by the size listed on the hardware store coupling, as PVC couplings are sized differently than automotive piping.
