Afc killling gas milege and rpm off

Ok,
I installed my afc2. Then took it to a dyno with my mods below. 249 whp. LOW!
I feel i got ripped off i was expecting around 300. Anyways ive allready made a forum about that. I use to get 240 miles to tank now i get 200 barely. My rpm on afc is not cloes to the main rpm gauge. Other then that it seems to work fine car runs been driving it for a month or so. The tuner said afc properly worked but then agian i feel i got ripped off. So let me know what you guys think. And im going to try to explain this better below.

I will be driving at 5k rpms and the afc will say im at um lets say 2400 rpm but car runs perfectly fine since the rpms is off im thinkin i'll be at 5k but the afc is dumping in fuel for 2400k which what might be sucking the gas and giving me my low hp.

I know i should put this in the afc fourm but no1 looks there much and i need help asap.

Thanks,
Eric

You don't have your SAFCII set up correctly. You need to go through the manual and set it up correctly. It's been a long time since I've set my safcII so I'm not going to get into that part of it but I can tell you it's awesome and not a waste of your time or money. I was amazed when I dyno'd mine and saw that torque was a little more then hp. That is a good thing. Some people spend a lot of money on other engine management and still have less torque then hp, that sucks!
I'm running similar mods to you so look below and you shall see. I also think your leaking somewhere. Check your hoses and stuff.

Oh, I'm also getting about 300 miles per tank. That's about 21.14 miles per gallon. Not bad. That's better then stock. I was seeing about 220 stock.

max tq.247 well not higer but close. I got it professinal tuned you would think they would have it working right. since my rpm are off i think thats the problems. I have no leaks or anything ive allready checked all that. Im thinkin it must be the rpm wireed up wrong. I dont know. has any1 ealse delt with this?

First, Ever dyno is a little different.. And what were your HP and TQ numbers BEFORE the modifications?

If your fuel mileage went down, you probably are "In the pedal" more I was getting over 300 to a tank in most of my daily driving.. But if I drove hard for a weekend, it would go down to 200..

It depends on what RPM signal you hooked up to.. but generally if its off, its because its configured incorrectly and its set to the wrong multiplier.. If you have it connected to an injector, its usually 4, if you have it hooked to a coil pack, its usually 2, if you have it hooked to the RPM Signal, it should be 1 or 4 for it to read right. I had an S-AFC not the S-AFC2, and after I set it up and tuned it, I found my overall gas mileage went UP (obviously since its leaner it makes sense)

Oh, and although I don't know what boost your running, or what dyno your on, those numbers are not unexpected for your mods.. But unless you knew what you had before you added your mods, then before your tune.. you really don't know what gains you had.. you likely picked up 40whp over stock with your mods.

Low power and poor mpg implies to me that you're running rich - and also that you have a heavier right foot...

so i called ar fab. and told them they didnt do it right. Does every1 agree that 240 (thats what im at now 249 was best) and a loss of 40 mpg and 400 bucks that i got it stuck up my *** and i need to fight it. Does any1 have dyno sheets they would like to share that where on a dyno jet with close to same mods! I have to prove to them its wrong. they swear up and down that is a GREAT tune. And still any other suggestions would be great.

Did you ever take a baseline run on this dyno... maybe it just spits out low #s. Also you definetly sound like you need the car tuned better
