Questions just bought a 2003 Evo......

Hey guys, New owner of a 2003 Evo. Formerlly owned a 1995 Eclipse GST for 3yrs & member of DSMTuners.com for 3yrs and DSMEtc.com for more then a yr anyways . I bought the Evo with minor mods including Thermal R&D Catback, Dowpipe (not sure what type just its 3" & Frigging straight!!), HKS Intake, Pruven Performance BOV. Seems if i accelerate partly and have to let off the gas quick or in the middle of spool up the car will stall out. Its very random, but has happened a couple times. Ive done a little searching on here and not found any positive & warming answers to this issue, so i figured i would throw out the question to you guys. Could this be a possible BOV issue? It is Recirculated......It does Flutter a awful lot, like it wont let off unless i reach 100% boost. Possible the kid had it set the spring rate to high? Maybe try a differant BOV? I have a GReddy type-S kicking around from my Eclipse. Look at a differant option?

Thanks guys!!

Sounds like it would be the BOV. Type S will require the small spring removed if you are going to recirc. I had no fluctuation problems or idle problems with such a mod.

The bov is more than likely adjusted wrong, they can be tricky to get right(take a bit of time driving stoping adjusting driving ect ect).
btw watch out for the fan shroud it is really sharp, and if you have any questions call me at the shop203-874-0393, or swing by i'd have no problem taking a look at it for you

That would be instruction for your type s with single spring mod. Works like a charm. Just make sure you reci. it. Also sounds like it could use a good tune. Congrats on getting a evo! ERic
