Does a after market intake manifold helps?

Hi guys,

I'm wondering what is the effects/pros & cons of a after-market intake manifold like the Magnus Motorsports Intake manifold with a enlarged TB like the Accufab 80mm TB have on a stock evo turbo?

Please advise...

Thanks....

I think that comes into play when you have a heavily modded car, such as large turbo, intercooler, hardpipes, etc. Allows more air, which is not needed until you go to a larger turbo, IIRC.

Hi DizzyTT,

I think you got a valid point there....but why are some folks put a larger bore TB with the stock intake manifold & experiences improvement?

I'm just curious...is the theory bigger the better? of course not too ridiculously big...hehe...
