Boost spike to 24psi?

just noticed it today, my boost spikes at 24psi real quick for a sec then dropped down.

It's like 10 degrees here in GA.

I know the boost level changes when the weather is cold, but is that normal?

i got the ultra lite autometer pro comp boost gauge.

Thanks.

Also, anyone know where I could find some instruction on installing hallman pro evo (inside cabin knob control) ?

I've searched all here and the jonesisland.com site is down and all I have is few scattered pictures with different opinion of how it should be installed.

Thanks.

also, what are you guys all talking about the restrictor pill while installing hallman pro?

is is the hoses that goes from Turbo waste gate actuator to turbo and intake?

or the T fitting that goes from turbo to wastegate to the actuator?

I'm going to install my hallman pro evo and just wanted to make sure before I start to take stuff apart.

thanks.

I will be bypassing the hose between the intake manifold to BOV to hallman side nipple and wastegate to the hallman top nipple.

and capping off turbo, intake and actuators off. 4 caps.

I was running my low boost setting on my EVC two days ago. It's set at 19.5psi and I spooled up in 12 degree weather and hit 22.3 psi. Thank god I wasn't running my high boost setting (22psi) or I could have spiked much heigher.

Cold weather + fast spooling turbo = watch boost gauge and correct settings if necessary.
