it's funny you say that because i have an odd sound after the bov dumps as well.
to me it almost sounds like a wind chime or if you were to lightly tap a wine glass.
high frequency and very quiet but always there after the "whoosh"

Also on a side note, I hear a wierd sound from my BOV after the "whoosh" sound. It sounds like a door swinging or swing swinging or something. Its kinda hard to explain, but it comes on like a second after the bov does its "whoosh".

Its really annoying, anybody know what it is?
If it sounds like a slight metallic whistle/rattling, thats a small amount of compressor surge.. The SSQV does that if its not properly adjusted..

Yeah, just be careful since overtightening can damage it (according to HKS)

Damn i been so busy at work i don't get time to open up the hood and it started snowing like crazy last night.

Today when i'as on the highway goin to work, i'm in 5th gear and i'm accelerrating and then it starts fluttering like crazy and the car starts "stumbling"
It happened a few times in 4th gear too.

I got a whole buncha things installed (dp/tp/272cams/fuelpump/IC piping etc.) and a TURBO TRIX ecu reflash, and then 2 days later i installed an HKS RS intake (cz it got shipped late) and now it feels like the car doesn't pull as hard. I kno I need to adjust the bov (greddy type-s) a bit, but duno whether to tighten it or loosen it. I'm sure I need to have the reflash tweaked to compensate for the increased air flow from the intake, but I can't get down to turbo trix till february

In your case, the HKS RS intake is probably throwing off your MAF sensor.. the stumbling could be fuel cut, or the BOV Venting.. but the car not pulling as hard is the tune isn't optimized for the HKS RS intake, and likely pulling timing in the areas that have gone lean.

it might be holding fine when you looking at it but thats not the case when you boostting 20 at higher rpm. if you do not install the Y bracket the intake will shook like nuts, and that will irritate the hell out of your MAFS and that will through of the signal. so put it on and see the different!!!!!!!!

I have an early buschur intake, when I had the maf installed, I had made my own support bracket to stabilize it.. But believe it or not, its true about the vibration, but only if the filter or MAF rattles against something near by since the jolts upset the MAF..
