magnus intake OMG
just installed today, did some preliminary tuning and all i can say is you need one of these......i know the *** dyno isnt all that accurate but.....i had to add 3 to 5% fuel just about everywhere...the egr is gone----
rerouting of some vacuum lines for brake booster, bypass valve, fuel press regul.--and map sensor and had to t some stuff for the extra gauges and boost controller.
the dip stick had to be straigtened and bent in the opposite direction....the mounting tab was straightened and i drilled and tappefd the left side injector rail mount to bolt it to...
had to redo the piping a little and the bypass discharge tube
there are quite a few bolts and nuts, being the first time i take the intake off this car and the mods i had to do, the whole thing took me about 10 hours....but well worth the effort i think
the butt dyno says more low end and a crap load everywhere else, id say at least 30 to the wheels
here are some pics

Damn that was alot of work man... The end result is the fun part. I am working on a couple of things right now on my car, and then hitting the track to see what it runs

i still have the maf , i can tune it so it has a rouph lumpy idle or smooth at about 900rpm....i had to reset the ecu so it could relearn long and short term fuel trims...it runs abslolutely sick----it idles great......its just tuning....

Looks like he had to make some revisions to the upper intercooler pipes.. I think if you had buschur upper intercooler pipes with a mini-battery kit, it probably wouldn't require as much work, maybe a longer coupler.
I was curious about how much modification was involved since I really would prefer this manifold over the extrudehoned intake I've been working on.. But it seems pretty straightforward in the way of modifications...

the piece i screwed into is solid,
the throttle body opening sits a about 5 inches lower and farther to the driver side...
it looks cleaner now that the throttle cable is under the manifold...the price on the manifold was 700 but has gone up for 2005 by 15% because of the prices of raw material...i think the one buschur has is actually their own piece not magnus i think ????????
i just didnt get the mini battery because everyone was telling me that i couldnt put the piping in with that battery in there and im a glutton for punishment.
other than the piping needing modification its pretty straight forward
cant wait to go back to the track in feb for our sport comp shoot out
