I don't know, I'd like to hear from someone who's done this before maybe...
They are placed/machined into the OE housings we already have (just a bigger wheel)... they SHOULD run ok on the OE wastegate as it is able to bypass more gas than the "old 20g's". I'd be willing to bet the 10.5 housings would run damn well without issue.

so I guess the o2 housing is going to be the same. wouldn't you need to bore out the o2 housing for it to increase efficiency of the larger turbo housing? That and the Intake piping.

I'm sure you have to up the intercooler because of the upgrade intake system and fuel injectors and fule pump as well as EMS.

Then you'll probably have to upgrade the suspension a bit to accomodate the power increase. That and the exhaust manifold and bore out or replace the intake manifold.

lol

Man, just a lot of money needed for all that I wanna do. lol

So is this gonna be a direct bolt on part? If I can get this and still use the stock manifold then I'll be VERY happy.

yea, i hate trolls.... at least have the curticy to post a REASON why you don't like them...

back to topic: i'm sure you'd need to get a bigger 02 housing, but that would come with the kit also, with a nice cast manifold and internal wastegate

Geeze people... https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=111523

You don't have to have a lot of upgrades to run this turbo... I'd say you could run it with just a turbo back and engine management... but who would want to?

I will attempt to give a general answer to the newbie EVO owners not knowing the history of past vendor encounters:

The short version is that Turbochargers.com built a reputation in the DSM community by offering turbos that looked great on paper but had horrible reliability and customer service nightmares. They are pretty much black listed in the DSM world.

I bought my "Big T28 Killer" turbo from turbochargers.com for my old DSM and was very satisfied with it. Your results with the company may vary.

they screwed my friend's big 16g, and overcharged for dynos and install prices. Hell, would you pay 500 bucks for a safc install? hell no. Some subie guys had a dyno day for utec tuning and they jacked up the prices. They always screw up the turbo because it's supposed to go to some guy in japan for final checking. The problem with the turbo was that the compressor wheel was scraping against the compressor housing. The only way they're still in business is probably because they have a turbo rebuild contract with CAT (industrial vehicles) which is right next door.

I will never deal with Turbochargers.com again either. At first I thought they were great, price was right, people were friendly, they even sent my brother a video of their talon in an awesome street race against an MTI trans am.
So he went ahead and got their CT26 turbo upgrade for his 87 Supra turbo. The one with the 60-1 compressor wheel and t3 high flow turbine wheel. A few weeks later the turbo ate itself up. and they would not honor their warranty, he provided all the proof that they asked for as for the turbochargers care, and retuned it to them for warranty inspection. they sent it back in peices with no explanation of why it failed. inspecting the bearings and the shaft there is no evindence of lack of oil anywhere.

I am not alone. If you want to buy from turbochargers, buy from them at your own risk and be prepared to bend over.

That turbo is pretty much an 18G, it flows 650CFM's, the stock 16G flows 550CFM's. I guess this is an OK turbo, but much like the 18G it will be less efficient as you are pumping more air through the housing so it will be hotter then normal.

Joel, the BR 20G is just that, it will have a Titanium wheel and a larger exhaust outlet and spool close to stock BUT flow about 700CFM's. I would still rather have a FP green of some sort, they flow 780.
