Stock Boost taper 20-15psi..this ok?

Hey guys my Evo is stock minus a Greddy Type S, and a Turbo Back exhaust. This has been going on for awhile, but is the boost going to 19 or 20 to 15 or in rare cases 14 normal for a fairly stock evo? Or is there something wrong? I have a Vishnu Xede on the way and am hoping this corrects it, but am afraid the performance it going to be less than what i should be because my car is doing this. Any comments?

P.S. There is no evidence to suggest a boost leak...it hold constant at 19 for awhile sometimes.

I have a stock evo and I just got a boost gauge. I can see my boost peaking at 20psi and dropping to 16psi and no lower.

You might need a new boost gauge it could be off.

The exede will not fix the boost taper. it's a turbo-efficiency issue. This issue has been beat to death on here. Searching will yield several threads on the subject.

i had a hallman MBC and it would hold 19psi constantly. Is there any way to correct the tapering? This is really annoying after having an MBC that made it work how it should. I took the MBC off since the Xede was going to be the thing controlling boost now.
