Sticky Throttle?

Hello everyone,

I have an 04 evo 8, I noticed that my car has a sticky throttle after I floor it. What I mean is, for example today, I had my foot all the way down on the gas pedal on 4th gear and my pedal got stuck to the floor for at least 1 second. Is this normal? I don't remember this happening when I first purchased the car. I've removed the floormat to see if it's getting stuck and the throttle still gets stuck. I don't recall this problem on my car being gear specific. Any thoughts? suggestions? Thanks,

check the condition of the cable at the throttle body. Open and close the throttle plate manually, with engine off, and see if there is a problem there. Throttle cable could be sticking, but I have never really experienced that on my cars or any I have worked on. The throttle is not electronic so any problem would be mechanical.

I will follow the throttle cable and see if there's anything that could be causing my problem.

FYI - I am stock, this should eliminate questions regarding mods around the intake manifold, etc.
