to those who have replaced a clutch....

got a question for you guys. lately my clutch has been creaking, yes like an old wood floor, when im letting it out. i have almost 21K miles on my stocker. im guessing its starting to go. anyway today i take off kind of hard, no launch, in first gear and i only build like half boost. from a roll though on the highway i can make and hold full boost. only in first when that first hard boost hits can i hold half. im guessing that this is the clutch slipping as its no longer able to hold full boost capacity???? someone let me know please so i know when i have to pony up a grand to get a new clutch put in.

I am pretty sure its ur clutch going are the RPM going up with no power behind it ?? right now its only going to do it for a split second and then its going to do it MORE AND MORE untill its going to wear out completely . Correct me if i am wrong anyone ?

ps the best thing is drive in 5th gear 35 MPH rev the engine to 5K rpm and let go of the clutch if the Gauge on the rpm goes down imediatelly the clutch is still good but if it takes a while for it to settle thats a sign of slipage but dont do it more then once couse that also does wear out ur clutch a bit.

yeah pretty much it raises rpms but im not feeling the equivalent in power. my boost gauge was showing that it was pushing just over half boost of what it should be. guess an ACT is in my near future. those babies are what about $450???
