Is my turbo wearing wierd?
Ok so I decided to peek down the stock intake pipe to look at the inside of the turbo.. I noticed the middle of each fin doesnt sit flush with the housing..
I'm not sure if this is just by design or if I've got a problem. But I've been getting some unstable boost for about a week now.. you can't feel it but you can see it on the boost gauge.
Ive got a short movie of my boost gauge with a 4th gear pull. This was done on a private closed road. The little bit of taper is normal but the needle seems to bounce a bit.

I also tried to take a pic of my the turbine fins.. It didn't come out well but I've enhanced it a bit so you can see what I'm talking about.

The turbo fins look normal to me. To see if your turbo is ok check to see if there is play on the Turbo wheel. Don't touch the turbine wheel fins. Check for play in the shaft by putting two fingers on the centel part of the wheel and move it side to side and up and down and back and forth. Do not use alot of force just a wiggle to see if there is alot of play in the wheel itself.

I'd just take the whole pipe off but its a real PITA.
