It's not another one, it's a replacement for the stock one, and you dont HAVE to, but anyone would recommend it

It's not needed, but the stock one would probably go bye bye pretty fast...it's like um...well yeah, you get the idea lol...the stock one has serious overheating problems, and new cams need lots more fuel and the stock one wont pump it smooth enough...it's definitly NEEDED with a new turbo, I think the stock one would die within 5 minutes of driving with the bigger turbo....this is all, of course, what I've heard, and I've been researching the pumps for almost as long as I researched the exhaust...because I really don't want to get one untill it gets to the "need" it point

Yep, all the vendors strongly recommend it, even Al suggests it just with a baseflash...the stock one is crap, and there's lots of problems that happen if the stock one overheats...it's a 80-100dollar safety investment...but I'm scrapped for cash so much that I'm gonna put it off untill I absolutly have to get one.

Others would argue (I'll hear any as soon as they provide their own personal fuel pressure graphs to back up the argument), but the fuel pump would be one of my first mods for an Evo that is going to see ANY sustained WOT loading... of course with the pump should come at least a flash to re-map for the extra fuel pressure you will see with it.

Question on the install of this 255 pump. Are you supposed to re-use the white platsic o-ring that goes onto the end of the fuel pump that pushes fuel into the fuel system? Or does that piece just stay with the stocker? It is the little white ring closest to the stock pump in the picture above
