Which is better for auto x track?

2.5" Downpipe or the 3.0"?

I've heard that the 2.5" for auto x and the 3.0" for drag and that makes sense, but from everyone's experience on here, what would you all say. Please include a summary of why you chose one or the other.

Thanks in advance,

Brian you crazy bastard, 3" makes more torque and horsepower. 2.75 is a compromise for clearance, but now manufacturers have started making good fitting 3 inchers. No excuses.

Cody, you know what...........I don't even know what I was gonna say there, but I've heard that 3" is a little big if your modding for around the track. I want the Megan 3" DP, but would I make more Hp closer to redline, or would I make more low-end torque and mid-range power with the 2.50" or 2.75"?

On my drag Honda, I had a 4" DP dumped underneath the wastegate!

I've never had a track car so to speak like for MSR, so you saying the 3" wouldn't hinder low-end torque at all considering I'll be in the mid-range power band?

Come on speed-racer......what's it gonna be?
