15 whp is what we have seen consistantly with our FMIC kit, on a stock turbo'd car at 20 psi of boost.

Cool, one more question, does your deluxe intercooler work with the stock UICP? Thanks

I found this pic of the ARC i/c that really blew me away. Fantastic inner core design

I'd love to see an intercooler shoot out including the ARC kit.

They should have used a split extrernal fin as well, it would have cooled a lot better. See the density (or lack there of) on the external fin? The air passes through too quickly especially with what looks like at least a 1/2" or even 5/8" row height.

The ARC is overpriced. Get the Nisei and you get more than your moneys worth with data to back it up.

Yes, our deluxe and standard FMIC kits both can be used with the stock upper i/c pipe and most if not all aftermarket upper i/c pipes.

Rob, have you guys tested the Nisei against the HKS yet...I know you guys were thinking of doing a head to head.

that arc is fantastic... wow... , but they use louvring to slow the air as well as square finning, this would be debateably the best design possible... but with a larger sink... you could do it with less restrictiveness (nisei). of course arc's emphasis is weight.

btw... the hks intercooler is garbage... similar to the greddy vspec, but it has half finned tubes nad half extruded to give you a balance between presure drop and cooling... which i think is a dumb idea. cuz yer basically lettting some hot air through for the sake of reducing pressure drop. total bandaid.

Yeah, on of my customers switched to the Nisei from the HKS and we're buying his old HKS R-spec off of him to test it. I just need to go pick it up.

Not crazy about the "ARC" script across the front. has anyone tried to remove it?

Vivid's web site states that modifications are required for installation. The intercooler just bolts right up w/o cutting, bending, etc?

Someone in another thread claimed a reduction in AFR of 0.3 to 0.4. Does this seem to be on par with your experience?

The ARC drops right in, costs twice as much as the Nisei and has no data to back up it's $1525.00 price tag. So why should some anyone pay twice as much for the ARC intercooler over the Nisei? The data that Nisei provides convinced me to purchase their interccoler over all the others out there.

ARC is jdm yo.

And with the Nisei I have to cut or remote the undertray?
