Head Porting...What to Replace?

I am currently waiting on my cams to arrive from Japan. When they get here I am having the head ported/polished. I am wondering what stock parts I can re-use. I have already bought Ferrea Springs, Ti Retainers, and locators. Do I need valves too? Aren't the stock valves sodium filled? They are pretty nice right? I've also got head studs, injectors, cam gears, and a new headgasket ready also. Is there anything I'm overlooking? Thanks

it really depends on how the head will be ported and which stages of porting you want done, but i would get a set of JUN valve guides and i guess new vavles too just to be on the safe side.

Go with +1mm valves, if you have the money get Ferrea. These will really take advantage of the port/polish. The stock valves are ok but not too tollerant to detonation. They can melt at the stems where they are hallow and drop the head into the cylinder, which is what happened to me.
I went with +1mm stainless valves, port/polish, springs/Ti retainers.
What a difference. I had to add about 15% more fuel accorss the board to make up for the increased flow. Also, with the polished chambers, I haven't seen a hint of knock. I used to get it all the time around 5500.
Have fun

The exhaust valve is hollow and gas filled.

Ferrea, Supertech, Jun, Tomei (I think). Not sure about any others.

I ended up going with Ferrea +1mm. The head is being shipped to FRH to be race ported as we speak. Should have some results soon...
