LPI catback exhaust
Hey, i was just wondering if anyone could give me some feedback on the LPI catback exhaust, such as reliability, power gains, if its too loud for a suburban neighborhood, and i was looking for some reviews from people that are using/have used it. Thanks.
I have this catback system and the catback is actually made by Tsudo, who made some DSM systems and for Hondas. Check out the review I made on the vendor thread for it. The catback is actually nicely made. Good sound, louder than stock, but not raspy like Buschur's, more like Helix or Greddy. The welds are nice, stainless, and the price is good.
Realiability? what exactly do u need from a catback?
It's full 3" stainless steel, no taper like some well-known systems like HKS, Espelir, etc. I was going to get the Espelir cause it looked good but I saw that it tapers at the cat section. So I decided and took the "risk" of buying something that's not too popular, for a decent price and it worked out pretty well.
Believe me... I had alot of doubts.
Power-wise is basically like any 3" catback. Good mid-range to high end torque and overall the powerband is nice. I haven't gotten a tune for it or any flash done, so I'm not getting the optimal power...yet. But the "butt dyno" definitely feels a difference. And the sound is great! Deep, louder than stock, but that's expected. If you want it quiet... put on the silencer and it's quieter than stock!
But if you hit it... it sounds niiiiice! I actually had people with me right after installing it and I asked if they thought it was really loud, and the consensus was a "no". It has a slight drone but I can still hear the radio and conversations with no problem.
I should be paid for being a spokeman for this catback system.
But, believe me when I tell you that I was nicely surprised at the good value of this system. Go tell Logic Performance I sent you.
They are a pretty good shop. Quick shipping.

Installation was pretty easy. Everything fitted nicely. Comes with flanges and almost everything you need to install. It comes out at an angle...jdm style. I burned the inside edge of my bumper cutout but I haven't had time to really align it better. It's not a big deal though.
It took us 3 hrs for the install!
but thats because we were trying to make an install video, had lunch, and talked **** with some friends.
Not a hard install at all if you know what u are doing. Beer and friends should make it easier....and a warm garage!

highschool? damn... at least get credits for it.

heatshield should work... but once it burns off what touches the exhaust... you should be fine. Or just make sure to angle it more as to not touch the bumper at all.
good luck and no street racing with your friends!

haha thanks a lot for your info. You should really be getting paid or something by LPI for promoting their products. You definately convinced me into getting the exhaust. Thanks!
