Magnecor Spark Plug Wires

I thought I would post up my bad experience with a set of 8 mm magnecor spark plug wires...

1. The fitment is horrible... They would slip off the coil pack if you didn't zip tie them and sit loose in the spark plug holes in the head.
2. They went bad only after about 5-6 months.

I started getting a misfire every now and then. I couldn't think what it could be since it was random but it just became worse. I finally swapped them back for the stockers and now have a smooth power band.

Anyways something to think about...

sure you got the right wires? Magnecor makes some quality products, i had them in all my cars and never had a problem with them. Though its good to know that you're experiencing these issues as I just ordered a set. I'll chime once I have them installed.

I just purchased a set and it only came with 2 wires. Aren't there suppose to be 4? I know this may be a stupid question but please correct me if I am wrong. Thank you

It's just 2. Take the cover off and you'll understand.

The coil packs are right above two cylinders... So you only need 2. It's a bit of a rip if you ask me about the prices people charge.

I got the 8.5mm wires and they have the same problem. The boot just doesnt seal properly.

There are lots of complaints... do a search. I think mine caused a SES light a couple times. I've put the stockers back on so we'll see what happens.

They look like they are made out of high quality material.. but they just don't fit right.. I want a refund lol

i'm gonna call Buschur tomorrow and see what he says about them. He seems to love these wires and running them with no problems.

Unless they've changed since I've ordered them you're not gonna be too happy.

I have a set of 8.5mm from BR for $55. I agree the boot doesn't fit like stock. I have HKS 272 cams and the wires did help with my idle a little. I don't know if I picked up the 5hp that buschur claimed(like I could notice anyways), but I hope they work well in combination with the HKS DLI Twin Spark Ignition.
