Ive heard that I could swap out the factory turbo on my VIII for the more high output titanium turbo on the JDM EVO VII. I was wondering if anyone had tried this and what their thoughts are? Supposedly the turbo on the US Spec VIII is what is found on old Vs or VIs. I could order a Japanese-spec EVO VII turbo and it would be a direct replacement good for 20-25hp right off the bat. With proper tuning, I could get an additional 80-100hp from it. I plan on utilizing the HKS FCON PRO V in the near future.

Not sure, but I don't think you'll be seeing those gains from a Ti Turbo?

Have you talked to the Bozz guys?

I'd say you'll get the 20-25HP WITH tuning, and that's about it. This is pretty much the same turbo as the Evo 6.5 TME Ti 16G, in which case you'll see more torque in the midrange due to the 10.5 hotside, small gains up top, and the Ti guts will offset the bigger hotside to give you the same spool. You might see 80-100HP gains if you do a baseline run with 87 octane and then tune it with 100 octane

no one answered because a small search would have got you what you need. 80 to 100WHP lol.... if you make 15~20 WHP with tuning you are lucky

between your mr turbo and the 6.5 tme turbo there's not much of a gain or a little bit more depending on what your car has already, except for the spoolup because of the titanium aluminide shaft.if you really want to run this set up you can order the turbo from vishnu or thru forcedperformance.
