Question HELP:T-case Replaced, Now Rough Shifting??

I can't figure this one out. I had my t-case replaced under warrantee and now my car shifts like crap. I have to rev the car to go into 1st or reverse or jam it into gear. The overall shifting is rough also, more notchy feeling. What would cause this? The t-case has nothing to do with the transmission right?? Am I missing something here?

The dealer said to wait two weeks and it would smooth out. It has been a week and it still is rough. In the meantime it is driving me nuts!!! Can someone explain what is causing this??

Thanks!

It shouldn't do that. I would call roadside assistance and have them tow it to another dealer so they can un-f*&k it. I am assuming your warranty is still good. BTW how long did your t-case last before you had to have it replaced?

interesting. my friends evo is doing the same thing. have to rev to get it into gear, which even then it hardly goes in, and you have to really push the hell out of it to get it into any gear. and when you want to go into reverse you gotta shut the car off, put it into reverse, then start it up and go, if not then it just grinds when you try to go into reverse. checked his clutch fluid and bled it out and still same thing. i was thinking the dealership put his clutch discs in wrong on his twin plate or something. reason i think this is because it doesn't seem like the clutch it disengaging all the way. with the clutch pedal in (disengaged), when you try and put it into gear the car starts to move. any ideas????

Thanks for the response guys. The t-case lasted 17k before it bit the dust. I am not sure if the t-case died because of inproper fluids or I got a bad one. I had a dealer change all the fluids at 15k. The receipt said they billed me for "injector fluid"! I have no idea what they put in. So, that could be the issue with the t-case going bad. Not sure if my current transmission problem is related.

WHTEVO - exactly the same problem I am having, except not as bad. I don't have to shut off the car to put it in reverse. I have the stock clutch in my car. Just the t-case change. I am going to adjust my clutch pedal tonight. I already have adjusted it to the factory spec. Not sure this will help. Still not sure what it is.

That doesnt sound like good advice. When you end up taking it back they might say you abused it and then not cover it under warranty.

Yep, I wasn't really thrilled with the dealership's answer.

I lowered the clutch pedal engagement point and it helped a lot. I still don't know why this would make any difference, but it did.
