I have a EVO MR with 2200 miles on it....driving the other night go to 3rd to 4th gear about like 60 and my car jerks real hard....i go to put the clutch it and guess what no clutch...my clutch blew...what the hell is with that???

 

That sucks, mine went out at 20,000 along with my transfer case. Take it in and see if they will cover it.

 

lost mine at 5k .......complain to the dealer !

 

well its under warrenty still so they will cover it for free

 

that sucks. take it in make them pay for it all. hope it all works out.

 

sorry to hear about that. I think I read a post about a month or two ago and the same thing happened to anonther MR owner. They should cover it under warranty.

 

Lost my clutch at 3000 in my 03. when i boutgh it they had just put a brand new clutch in it i was the first driver it went out they told me they will take it apart if the flywheel is blue i will have to pay them for labor and the clutch and guess what it was blue i argued with them for 6 weeks even talked to the factory rep the best i could get was the labor done by them for what they pay the mechanic. GOOD LUCK!

 

On the MR!!! damn, you would think by the 3rd running model year this problem would be addressed. Sorry to hear

 

Thanks everyone...its kinda hard to believe that a brand new clutch would blow out at 2200 miles...when i bought my car it only had 7 miles on it...i always heard that evo clutches are weak...they should address this or something i dunno
