Question Yet, another Walboro 255 Fuel Pump Install Question

First off, I have searched for 2 hours. I have read many interesting things on this pump and its install. My 2 install questions that I am confused on are:

The white plastic cover/oring piece behind the rubber gastket on the stock pump, does that plastic piece get reused in addition to the rubber gasket? Because I did not reuse this and realized after installing..

Next, my car is being reflashed tomorrow. It ran fine with my Buschur 3" TBE, just installed too. It did not run right after pump was installed. It bucks /sputters when hitting boost. Noticed this when I hit the highway, drove to entrance in traffic. Tuner says it is nothing to worry about, just take it easy.

Tomorrow morning I am installing helix intake, I am sure it will run really great until I get it tuned!

Thanks to anyone who can answer my questions.

The fuel pump will make you run richer until you get tuned so that may acount for your sputtering.

I just did the walbro about 2 weeks ago, and I did not use that white plastic piece either. No problems yet, fuel cut has been eliminated, but I am a little worried, so I may hop into the backseat this weeknd and re-do it.

I reused everything that came off, no parts were left over.

Is that plastic ring supposed to go into the rubber o-ring or just push against it? Thanks.

The white plastic o ring is just a spacer for the rubber gasket. I put the rubber gasket in the unit (white tube thing) first. I had the plastic oring on the pump and fit everything together like that. So it acts as a spacer. My car has been perfect since doing that last week. No left over parts either.
