BOV Question (yes another one..)

I posted a thread before but noone responded to it, i have the turbosmart dual port bov with the aem intake...does anyone else experience fluttering with this valve? I tried adjusting it but i still get the same effect. It doesnt leak or stall at all, but i just dont want to do any damage to the turbo. I just want to know if the flutter is normal with this valve. Any help would be much appriciated

u asked for any info...

from what I understand most BOV that are VTA cause flutter (except in the "I havent had any problems with it" peoples posts) from what I understand the reason for stalling (which u dont have) is because the ECU has already counted air that isnt there anymore (correct if wrong) .

I beleive "fluttering" is actually compressor surge correct? or maybe it was BOV's help out with compressor surge

either way I dont think I have helped you but atleast u have one response instead of a sh!tload of views

lol, well thanks for the response anyway, i'm thinking of maybe switching to the greddy-s, ive never really had a problem with this bov leaking boost but it gets kind of annoying with the flutter.

I have used the Forge DV, Greddy Type-S (single spring mod) and had varying amounts of "flutter" (low vacuum stumble/hesitation) with both. I also used a MR DV which was similar to stock. I recently switched to the APS dual vent and I think it works great. No hesitation, stumbling, or idle problems whatsoever. I am extremely satisfied with it.

I have the Turbosmart dual port BOV, and mine also flutters under light throttle release. I currently set the spring tension at the loosest position. I guess we just have to live with it.
