264/272 cam gear settings
I just got HKS 264/272 installed with AEM gears. Right now I'm set at 0/0.
What would be the effect on the idle of advancing or retarding the two cams the same amount (i.e., not changing overlap)?
Would I be correct in assuming that advancing the intake will bring the powerband down and retarding it will raise the powerband up?
I'm also assuming that decreasing the separation angle (for example, 0/-2) will build more peak torque at the expense of idle and top end. Does that sound right?
Wish I could dyno on the street (not ready for AEM though).
Thanks.
