Question about Perrin Oil Catch Can

I have had mine Perrin Oil Catch installed on my car for about 3000 miles, today I took it off and opened, there was no sign of oil in it. Is that right? I have two lines running, one from the valve cover and second from the intake. Could it be set up wrong??

I used this install for guide:

make sure it is a closed system, make sure no nipple or plug is free. only the 2 tubes should connect to the valve cover nipple and the intake. also if the tube is either too big or there is a big gash, there will not be any vacuum effect. and finally catch can is more effective for a stock evo, as the stock ecu is tuned very rich. once your evo is tuned, you will get very little oil. hope all this helps

i also wanted to say it may take longer then 3000 miles to get any sign of oil in your catch can. i recommend to people to get clear vacuum tube because then you can easily see that oil IS building up in the tubes as well as the catch can.
