kansai intake questions...

OK, I know intakes have become the dead horse of the forums. I just spent quite a bit of time searching for info relating to turbulence and the kansai with the HKS RS intake. After reading page after page after page...I decided that I had to post to see if there is any first-hand knowledge.

Many people like to stay with the stock airbox due to the turbulence created with an open air filter. Also, there is the debate about under-hood temps (some think that while moving enough air is flowing to make the temps not too high, but I really don't know as I haven't measured this, so I'll not address this issue directly.)

The main question I am trying to address is if this actually does reduce the turbulence to near stock levels while running an intake that allows more air. I would think that it would, but due to the cost of the item, I have been unable to find much first-hand knowledge of this.

So, if I missed a thread and somebody is feeling nice enough to post it, thanks in advance (and you may reserve the right to make fun of my lack of patience when reading through my search results.) If you happen to have one of these, I'd love to hear your impressions of the item.

Again, thanks in advance for any info on this.

Yes, it does work and it's worth every yen.
The air scoop was made for the Evo 7.So the hood vent bolt over the scoop needs to be cut down.
