are JDM and USDM internal EVO parts different?

This information was taken from a Mitsu Press release about the JDM MR EVO VIII.

*Durability is improved through shape optimization and reinforcement of the cooling water channels, uprating from a 3-ply to 5-ply head gasket and the use of magnetic ion-coated piston rings.

Does anyone know if the USDM MR EVO's come with the same parts as the JDM MR? I contacted a local Mitsu dealer and they said that the Headgasket for the '03 EVO 8 GSR and the EVO MR show the same part number listing. But that press release stated that the JDM MR was upgraded from a 3 layer HG to a 5 layer HG, can anyone confirm this. Thanks Trini...

compresion ratio of the jdm evo is lower than the usdm evo i beleive and it s mainly due to the head gasket, so i am sure the usdm evo doesnt have that part.
