Help!!
I just drove my EVO3 into the workshop getting it checked out. I have been trashing it hard after blowing a WRX modded to 400ps. The problem is the car doesnt have power at all when the boost comes in and the car make a a screming noise when rev to 6000rpm. The peculiar thing is the boost is coming right, engine idles fine, turbo is fine. But the car seems to be restrained in some where which I cant bloody find. Can someone help me out here. I really am lost .
Can the screaming be a bad or mistuned BOV? Especially if you are saying that when the turbo kicks in you are not getting increased power......
EDIT: Maybe clutch? Only two things that I can think of (at least for now) where loss of power can occur how you are describing it.

Thanks for the tip sorry bout posting in the wrong place. Anyway teh bov is alright it. The clutch is probably a cause its almost a year now.The screaming is like the engine is extra load. I will give the clutch a try. do you have any ideas that could be contributing to this problem.
Just with brief description...I would guess it's the BOV...what kind do you have and when in the powerband what's your boost?? Sounds like the BOV is releasing the access pressure as it should but is sticking open and not resetting close under throttle conditions??? Sidenote do have a internal or external wastegate??? Might want take look at that too. PEACE
PS. It might be clutch but usually there are smells also associated with clutch slipage or failure...any present or just the screaming sound???

I am currently running a TD06-25G setup with Greddy tyeR external wastegate. The blowff sounds fine as its a twin chamber Apexi one. There was a bit of burning smell which might be the clutch. But it cant be that bad as we can feel no power in the car. Anyway we will try to strip it down and check. The screaming sounds I mean is like when the engine sounds when you are going into high rev. Its sounds like a heavy load on the engine.

I have checked and found out my clutch was slipping and had new Cusco twin plate installed and changed my front LSD and still there is loss in power. We have checked for lose hose and leaks inthe hoses in intake and exhaust.Nothing was wrong we checked and still cant find anything wrong with it.
I am currently stress need to get some rest and think about it later.
