ARC box or Apexi power intake/aluminum box?

which product has better air flow and sucks in colder air? i read that the ARC is just a box with two filters on the sides and it makes the air into a vortex or some **** like that and at the same time cools the air down but the downside is that its really expensive. i read somewhere that the apexi power intake is one of the best flowing intakes on the market for evos but wouldnt the aluminum box restrict airflow kinda? i have never seen any of these intakes and dont know anybody that has them so im asking you guys that have tried them, which one is better?

If you want the honest truth, all filters are filters on a stick. If you want even more truth, a low restriction panel filter will work just as well as a stockish car as the 200$ ones.

It all depends on how much you want to pay for your filter on a stick.

As for that vortex mumbo jumbo, anything that the airbox could create is going to be eliminated once it hits the MAF screens. (The screens are there to channel air so the maf can read properly. Which in themselves will prevent max air flow.)

Lets take a look at this a little closer... can someone really tell me what's wrong with the stock setup w/low rest filter?

Biggest restriction I see is the maf...

hmm yea, vortex what?

If you really wanted to get daring, run a low rest filter and pull the screens off the MAF. obviously there is a huge risk to this, but the gains are there.

Lastly, I recommend the K&N style only because it is one of the best low rest filters that traps all the dust in the filter... not in the motor like the foam ones.
